ECHO: Chargen DoS


This protocol anomaly is a UDP packet sent to the echo server with a source port set to the chargen port. This can flood the network, causing a denial-of-service (DoS).

Extended Description

Echo and chargen can be exploited by remote attackers to launch denial of service attacks.
