BakBone NetVault Remote Heap Overflow
This signature detects attempts to exploit a known vulnerability against the BakBone NetVault Application. A successful attack can lead to a buffer overflow and arbitrary remote code execution within the context of the NetVault service.
Extended Description
Heap-based buffer overflow in the demo version of Bakbone Netvault, and possibly other versions, allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands via a large packet to port 20031.
