This protocol anomaly is a DNS message that ended prematurely. This may indicate an exploit attempt.

Extended Description

Any DNS datagram that contains fewer than 18 bytes constitutes a protocol anomaly. This condition could indicate a network configuration error. It could also indicate an attack, such as an attempted buffer overflow attack against a DNS client or server.
