GOPHER: Host Overflow


This protocol anomaly detects a Gopher message with a host name length that exceeds the user-defined maximum. The default host name length is 64; you can change this setting in the Sensor Settings Rulebase>Protocol Thresholds and Configuration>Gopher>Maximum host name length.

Extended Description

Any Gopher message with a host name length exceeding the user-defined maximum value should be treated as a protocol anomaly.
