HTTP: Httpdx GET Request Buffer Overflow
This signature detects attempts to exploit a known vulnerability in the Httpdx Web server. A successful attack can lead to a buffer overflow and arbitrary remote code execution within the context of the server.
Extended Description
Stack-based buffer overflow in the h_handlepeer function in http.cpp in httpdx 1.4, and possibly 1.4.3, allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (crash) and possibly execute arbitrary code via a long HTTP GET request.
