This signature detects attempts to exploit a known local file inclusion vulnerability in Wordpress. It is due to insufficient validation of user-supplied input in the Old Post Spinner Plugin. A remote attacker can exploit this by enticing a target to follow a malicious URL. A successful attack can result in arbitrary code execution and loss of sensitive information.
The Old Post Spinner plugin for WordPress is prone to a local file-include vulnerability because it fails to properly sanitize user-supplied input. An attacker can exploit this vulnerability to obtain potentially sensitive information and to execute arbitrary local scripts in the context of the webserver process. This may allow the attacker to compromise the application and the computer; other attacks are also possible. Old Post Spinner 2.2 is vulnerable; other versions may also be affected.
