This signature detects attempts to exploit a known vulnerability in IISProtect, a password protection application. IISProtect version 2.2-r4 and earlier versions are vulnerable. Attackers can send malicious code in an HTTP request to force IISProtect to perform a SQL query; attackers can execute commands on the host.
The IISProtect web administration interface does not properly sanitize user input. This could allow for SQL injection attacks on a Microsoft IIS server running IISProtect. Successful exploitation could result in a compromise of the IISProtect server, attacks on the database or other consequences.
